This workshop focusses on techniques for short and long-term memory improvement, including note-taking and several activities and games. There is limited capacity for this event, so please register to secure your spot. This workshop is free and open to UTIA members and non-members. CEU certificates will be available for UTIA members.
Learning Objectives:
- Apply multiple techniques for memory retention improvement.
- Develop a personal and eficient note-taking technique.
- Apply healthy lifestyle and mental capacity principles to improve focus and concentration.
About the Presenter: Brigitte Lily Morales Wurz
Brigitte Morales was born in Switzerland. Growing up bilingual ignited her passion for languages and their power for connecting people. She studied English and Spanish at the University of Zurich. A requirement for a stay in an English-speaking country brought her to BYU, where she obtained a B.A. in translation/interpretation, and an M.A. in Spanish linguistics. For 30+ years, she has worked as a translator/editor and project manager for translation agencies, a localization specialist with Novell, and a freelance translator and medical interpreter. In 2018, she returned to BYU as adjunct faculty, where she teaches Spanish composition and translation/interpretation courses.
