UTIA Board of Directors Elections 2026
Call for Nominations Now Open
The Utah Translators and Interpreters Association (UTIA) is pleased to announce its 2026 Call for Nominations for the Board of Directors. Nominations will be accepted from July 24, 2026, through August 24, 2026.
UTIA is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the professions of translation and interpretation in Utah. Serving on the Board of Directors is an excellent opportunity to help guide the organization’s future, support fellow language professionals, and contribute to the growth of our profession.
Special Election Notice
Under normal circumstances, UTIA elects officers and directors on overlapping two-year cycles. According to the bylaws, the President, Vice President, and certain Director positions are elected in one cycle, while the Secretary, Treasurer, and remaining Director positions are elected in the alternate cycle. Because UTIA did not hold board elections during the previous election cycle, all board positions are open for election in 2026. This special election provides members with a unique opportunity to become involved in the leadership of the association.
To ensure a smooth transition, current board members and officers will remain active and available to mentor, support, and assist newly elected directors and officers as they assume their responsibilities.
